On Friday, July 19, at around 4 PM, Jakir was shot in Abdullahpur. After being critically injured, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he fought for his life for nearly 36 hours. Unfortunately, on Sunday, July 21, at 4 AM, he succumbed to his injuries.
